It seems strange to describe oneself in three words, perhaps it would be more natural to say simply that I feel most at home in the water. 

It is by being near, on or under the water that I feel most at peace and most inspired. Through freediving I have found a way to connect with myself and my environment, in photography a mode with which I can communicate with creativity, and through sailing I have discovered a way of life that both energises and challenges me.

As well as these mainstays, I also enjoy writing. I share some of these words here on my website and also on Substack through my blog ‘to put to sea’. I hope with time and practice to develop my voice and style. 

These last few years have been a journey for me. A time where alongside my work as a sailor, I have tried to figure out how best to honour my passions and build my skills. Moving forward in the hope that I may be of service to the planet, it's creatures and it's people. 

One expression of this is ‘Mora Ocean’, a collaborative, creative platform I built with my partner Jasper. Through Mora we aim to raise awareness and funds for the ocean we call home. We hope not only to help deepen people's connection to the sea but to add our voices to the growing call for action. Mora is a project we plan to grow and take with us wherever we go. 

I hope to soon be able to share my love of freediving through teaching and create opportunities for people to engage with the ocean authentically and with confidence.

/ sailing experience

2018: Season as deckhand onboard 17th century privateer, Grayhound. Adventure sailing charters & sail cargo between Brittany & Cornwall.

2019-2022: Re-fit and restoration of own boat, 28ft Gaff Cutter, Morwenna. Cruising Cornwall, Brittany, Biscay & Galicia.

2021: 25m Hoek design, Sweet Emotion. Delivery chef A Coruña to Palma, Mallorca. Transatlantic delivery, Tenerife to Antigua.

2022 - current: 23m Fife Yawl, Latifa. Mate & Chef. Currently running boat together with my partner. Sailed Antigua to Tahiti, 2 years cruising French Polynesia.
